BOROUGHS FAMILY BRANCH POSITION SUMMARY: The Branch Board of Governors plays a crucial role in supporting the YMCA by participating in branch planning, monitoring the budget, and advocating for the organization within the community. Members are expected to attend meetings, actively contribute to discussions, and assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans. They must uphold fiduciary responsibilities, avoid conflicts of interest, and support fundraising efforts through personal contributions and engagement in development activities. Additionally, Board members serve as ambassadors for the YMCA, fostering a positive public image and assisting in the recruitment of strong leadership for the organization. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises while leading and participating in various activities that are developmentally appropriate. Volunteers do not need to volunteer for the full 4 hours and can volunteer for shorter time spans. Ideally, volunteers will commit to a regular schedule (ex. weekly, bi-weekly, monthly).
