POSITION SUMMARY: Volunteer Camp Counselors will assist Camp Counselors in the daily responsibilities of caring for children at our camp. Volunteers will assist in helping run games, interacting with campers, etc. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports Camp Counselors while leading and participating in various activities for campers. Dependable and caring individual who possess initiative and strong communication. Ensures safety and cleanliness of program environment. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to provide care and interact with children and youth in a positive manner. Must have previously completed the Boroughs YMCA CIT program REQUIREMENTS: Minimum age of 15 Must have previously completed the Boroughs YMCA CIT program Volunteer Application CORI/SORI, Criminal Background Check and Sex Offender Registry Check ***ID must be verified in person References (online) Child Abuse Prevention Training Interview with Camp Director, Larry Harding Able to attend camp training days on 5/30, 5/30, and 6/7 Camp Dates: June 15th-Aug. 21st, 2026 Volunteers must be able to volunteer on a weekly basis Monday-Fridays at minimum 8am-4pm. We are looking for volunteers who can volunteer for at minimum of 3 weeks in the summer. We are flexible if volunteers need to leave early or come in late due to appointments, etc.
